As with most Workaway sites, at Hollanbec farm we helped with multiple projects on the farm but also had time to play.
On the work side we planted potatoes (so funny being from Idaho to travel to Eastern Canada to plant potatoes), worked on fences, helped move the goats out to pasture, mulched and manured new trees, planted raspberry bushes, planted beans and other things in the garden, and Mr. Plate got to help unload feed and hay and all sorts of farmy things like that.
On the play side we went to the cute little beach at the lake down the road, played on the trampoline and swing set, toured Henk and Heather’s cute cottage, and took a day trip to Merrickville.
